Parma Marathon in Perm: why I am already waiting for May 23–24, 2026
For next weekend, May 23–24, 2026, my mind is already narrowing to a simple expectation: tango, a good floor, and that specific marathon rhythm that makes the whole format worth it.
Some events are attractive because of the program.
Others are attractive because of the state they create.
For me, a good tango marathon has never been just a stack of milongas.
It is a compact space of attention where the music becomes sharper, choices become cleaner, and the body starts revealing how honestly it can listen.
Next weekend, on May 23–24, 2026, I already have Parma Marathon in Perm marked in my internal calendar.
What I like about marathon format is that it reveals the truth of your dance faster than almost anything else.
After a few hours, freshness and enthusiasm are no longer enough.
You begin to notice:
- how well you actually listen to your partner;
- where tension still lives in your body;
- what music you really love instead of merely respecting;
- whether you know how to stop in time and keep some silence inside yourself.
That is why I like to anticipate such weekends well before they begin.
A good tango weekend does not start in the hall.
It starts in the inner place where you have already agreed to become more attentive than usual.
